3-5-7
Three rounds where you accumulate cards. Players take turns declaring IN or OUT. Ante once at the start of each cycle (when play returns to the first card-count), not before every round. Race to 3 legs wins the game (dealer may change number of legs to win).
How it works
First to enough legs wins the game (dealer sets how many, default 3). If you’re alone IN, you take the leg. If several go IN, that showdown settles side bets; the pot stays until someone wins the game by getting enough legs. Ties split what losers owe. With Go fund me, backers share in those payments when you use it.
Rules
- The dealer picks 3-5-7, 1-2-3, or 2-4-6. It’s the same game with different card counts each round.
- Race to 3 legs to win (the dealer can set a different number). If you’re the only one IN, you win the leg.
- If two or more go IN, you show your hands. Losers pay winners from their stacks; the pot stays until someone wins the game by getting enough legs.
- Go fund me (optional): backers can chip in so a player can match the pot; you split those payments however you agree.
- Wild cards depend on the round: 3s, 5s, and 7s in classic 3-5-7; other variants follow their own schedule. Four-card rounds with wilds rank pairs/trips/high only (no wild flush or straight).
- Add jokers if you like; they’re wild and can stand in for any card.
Dealer's options
- Variant — 3-5-7 (default), 1-2-3, or 2-4-6. Same flow, different card counts and wild ranks.
- Jokers — None, one, or two jokers in the deck.
- Stay Wild — Wild ranks from earlier rounds can stay wild in later ones; the last round’s rank is only wild there.
- 6 of Diamonds — When on, the 6 of diamonds is a dead hand if you go IN holding it.
- Tulsa — Everyone passes one card around before each round (same direction as declare order). Skipped on the 1-card round in 1-2-3.
- Hold 1st action for round — The same player leads declare order for all three rounds until the next ante; then first-to-speak rotates. Handy at three-handed tables so nobody is stuck leading forever.
- Ante — Posted once per cycle when returning to the first card-count. Not collected again for the 5- and 7-card (or 2/4/6) rounds of that cycle.
- Legs to win pot — How many legs win the game, usually 3; dealer can pick 2 through 5.
