Shit
Eight hole cards you arrange into two 4-card hands before the flop. At showdown your hand is the better high hand: for each group, best 5 cards from that group’s four holes plus the board (Texas-style, any combination).
How it works
Highest playing hand at showdown wins the hand (same tie-breaking as other Hold'em-style games). Ties split; side pots apply when players are all-in for different amounts.
Rules
- You are dealt 8 hole cards.
- Before the flop, you split them into two groups of 4 (you choose how the eight cards are divided).
- For each group separately, you could make a 5-card hand from any mix of those 4 hole cards and the 5 board cards. Same idea as Texas when you "play" a 4-card Hold'em hand with the board.
- At showdown your playing hand is whichever of those two candidate hands ranks higher, not both at once.
- The dealer must pick jokers and turn style so the deck has enough cards for all hole deals plus a full board; the table also reserves board cards for optional run-it-twice.
Dealer's options
- Jokers — Often needed at full tables so 8 holes × players + boards + optional run-it-twice reserves fit the deck.
- Turn style — Standard or Double Turn.
- Betting — No Limit or Pot Limit (max additional chips this action is 3 × last bet + pot).
